Rye River Brewing Company
Rye River Brewing was founded in November 2013 in Kilcock, Co. Kildare by Tom Cronin, a recognised drinks industry professional with over 25 years experience in the FMCG, Trade and Hospitality sectors. Prior to establishing Rye River, Tom held senior positions in Heineken, Molson Coors and North West bars Inc.
In January 2016, the brewery moved to a much larger premises in Celbridge, a town steeped in history and with a long association with brewing. This historic location provides the ideal place to brew fantastic beers, and to create Rye River’s own brewing history – in this case, the story of the dysfunctional first family of Irish brewing, the McGargles.
River Rye possess a large collection of 30 beers: twelve by McGargles, seven brews by the Crafty Brewing Company, five Rye River Small Batch Beers; and three each from Grafters and Sol. The brewery currently employ 47 people with plans to hire a further five people in 2019.
